Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of ShipContent ("Service"), operated by ShipContent ("we," "us," or "our"). By using our Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Description of Service

ShipContent is an AI-powered content generation service that creates SEO-optimized blog posts for SaaS companies. Our Service includes:

  • Product Analysis: We analyze your product by reviewing publicly accessible pages on your website (homepage, features, pricing, etc.)
  • Topic Generation: Our AI generates blog topic suggestions based on your product, market, and target keywords
  • Content Creation: We produce SEO-optimized blog posts including research, writing, and meta descriptions
  • Delivery: Content is delivered in Markdown format via our platform and email notifications

2. Account Registration

To use ShipContent, you must create an account. You may register using:

  • Email (magic link authentication)
  • Google OAuth

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must immediately notify us of any unauthorized use of your account.

3. Subscription and Billing

3.1 Free Tier

Each user receives one free blog post upon registration. This is a one-time offer and cannot be transferred or refunded.

3.2 Paid Subscription

Our paid subscription includes:

  • 2 SEO-optimized blog posts per month
  • Topic selection from AI-generated options
  • Full outline preview before writing
  • Market research and competitor analysis
  • Email notifications at each stage

3.3 Pricing

  • Early Bird: $19/month for the first 10 subscribers (price locked for the lifetime of the subscription)
  • Regular: $29/month

Early Bird pricing is grandfathered indefinitely as long as your subscription remains active. If you cancel and later resubscribe, you will be charged the then-current pricing.

3.4 Billing Cycle

Subscriptions are billed monthly on a recurring basis. Your blog quota (2 posts) resets at the beginning of each billing cycle. Unused posts do not roll over to the next cycle.

3.5 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Upon cancellation:

  • Your subscription will remain active until the end of your current billing period
  • You will retain access to all previously generated content
  • No refund will be issued for the current billing period

3.6 Refunds

We offer a satisfaction guarantee. If you are not satisfied with the quality of a blog post, contact us within 7 days of delivery at [email protected]. We will work with you to revise the content or issue a credit toward your next billing cycle. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis.

4. Content and Intellectual Property

4.1 Your Content

You retain full ownership of all blog posts generated for you by our Service. Once delivered, you may use, modify, publish, and distribute the content as you see fit without attribution to ShipContent.

4.2 Your Product Information

By providing your product URL, you grant us permission to access and analyze publicly available information on your website. This includes:

  • Homepage content (headlines, value propositions)
  • Features and product descriptions
  • Pricing information
  • Any other publicly accessible pages

We use this information solely to generate content tailored to your product.

4.3 Our Service

We retain all rights to our AI models, algorithms, templates, and Service infrastructure. You may not reverse-engineer, copy, or distribute our underlying technology.

5. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

All content produced by ShipContent is generated using artificial intelligence. While we strive for accuracy and quality:

  • AI-generated content may contain factual inaccuracies, outdated information, or errors
  • You are responsible for reviewing and editing all content before publication
  • We recommend fact-checking any claims, statistics, or technical information
  • Content should be reviewed for brand voice alignment and accuracy

ShipContent is not liable for any damages arising from published content that was not reviewed by you before publication.

6. Topic Selection and Deadlines

For paid subscribers, after topics are generated, you have 3 days to select your preferred topic. If no selection is made:

  • The system will automatically select a topic based on AI scoring
  • Content generation will proceed with the auto-selected topic
  • This counts toward your monthly blog quota

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use ShipContent to:

  • Generate content that infringes on third-party intellectual property
  • Create spam, deceptive, or misleading content
  • Produce content promoting illegal activities
  • Generate content containing hate speech, harassment, or discrimination
  • Create content for websites you do not own or have authorization to publish on
  • Resell or redistribute our Service without authorization

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

8. Service Availability

We strive to maintain 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Service. We may:

  • Perform scheduled maintenance with reasonable notice
  • Experience temporary outages due to technical issues
  • Modify features or functionality over time

We will notify subscribers of significant changes or extended maintenance periods via email.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SHIPCONTENT SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

  • Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
  • Loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities
  • Damages arising from content published without proper review
  • SEO results or search engine rankings

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
  • Accuracy, reliability, or completeness of generated content
  • Specific SEO results or search rankings
  • Uninterrupted or error-free operation

SEO is a long-term strategy influenced by many factors outside our control. We do not guarantee specific traffic, ranking, or revenue outcomes.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ShipContent from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

  • Your use of the Service
  • Content you publish based on our deliverables
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any third-party rights

12. Third-Party Services

ShipContent uses third-party services to operate. By using our Service, you acknowledge that your data may be processed by:

  • DodoPayments for payment processing
  • Google for AI content generation and OAuth authentication
  • Resend for email notifications
  • PostHog for product analytics

Each third party operates under their own terms and privacy policies.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you:

  • Violate these Terms of Service
  • Engage in fraudulent or abusive behavior
  • Fail to pay subscription fees after reasonable notice

Upon termination, your access to the Service will be revoked. You may request a copy of your content within 30 days of termination.

14. Modifications to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email to active subscribers at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law, without regard to conflict of law principles.

16. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes may be submitted to binding arbitration.

17. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

18. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and ShipContent regarding the Service.
